The scene here is awake and youthful. I’ve seen the change and growth of generations and as an older member I’m stoked to see the kids take over! The industry is developing, too. The distributors and shops have good brand awareness, and I see potential for local brands to start.
Korea is amazing, perhaps one of the safest places to live and skate. Most people, including the police, are friendly and don’t mind skaters (who are friendly too). The scene is way smaller and I find it exciting to see it grow.
Siendo de Alemania, ¿Cómo de diferente es en Corea del Sur?
Corea es increíble, quizás uno de los lugares más seguros para vivir y patinar. La mayoría de las personas, incluida la policía, son amables y no les importan los patinadores (que también son amables). La escena es mucho más pequeña y me parece emocionante verla crecer.
It’s part of our quiet empire! Haha. Nah, I just wanted to be closer to the local scene, perhaps make some clothes, and Quiet Hardware allows us to do that. We have a small crew now, so look out for some quiet movement in the future.
¿Qué os llevó a iniciar una empresa de hardware?
¡Es parte de nuestro imperio silencioso! Jaja. No, solo quería estar más cerca de la escena local, tal vez hacer algo de ropa, y Quiet Hardware nos permite hacer eso. Ahora tenemos un equipo pequeño, así que estaros atentos a algún movimiento silencioso en el futuro.
The mag is quite personal. Let’s call it a dream that I want to keep dreaming. To travel the world and learn about new places, to meet all kinds of people and fiend real homies too. The hardware is more open, a project and a brand. I think we’ll be able to do things with it that reach beyond the boundaries of the mag. Slow and steady, you know. Low-key.
La revista es bastante personal. Llamémoslo un sueño que quiero seguir soñando. Viajar por el mundo y conocer nuevos lugares, conocer a todo tipo de personas y conocer a verdaderos homies también. El hardware es más abierto, un proyecto y una marca. Creo que seremos capaces de hacer cosas con él que traspasen los límites de la revista. Lento y constante, ya sabes. Low-Key.
