¿Qué fue primero en tu vida: skate o arte / ilustración?
El arte siempre estuvo ahí, ya que mis padres siempre nos alentaron a ser creativos cuando éramos niños, pero el skate realmente lo sacó a relucir y me ayudó a encontrar mi propio camino con él.
🇬🇧 What came first in your life: skateboarding or art/illustration?
Art was always there as my parents always encouraged us to be creative as kids but skateboarding really brought it out in me and helped me find my own path with it.
El skate y el arte están realmente conectados. ¿Crees que te interesaría el arte si nunca hubieras empezado a patinar? (Presumo aquí que empezaste a patinar primero😅)
Creo que no habría encontrado la manera de expresarme a través del arte si no fuera por el patín. Aprendí a usar el software de Adobe alrededor de los 12 años para poder hacer imitaciones de camisetas És y Circa, jaja. Aprender esos programas me abrió un montón de nuevas posibilidades, como hacer ediciones con pequeñas animaciones o gráficos de plantillas con amigos.
Skateboarding and art are really connected. Do you think you’d be into art if you never started skating? (I pressume here that you started skating first😅)
I think I might not have found a way to express myself through art if it wasn’t for skating. I learnt how to use Adobe software around the age of 12 so that I could make knock off És and Circa T-shirts haha. Learning those programs opened up loads of new possibilities, like making edits with little animations or stencil board graphics with friends.

¿Qué crees que es más difícil, ganar dinero con el patín o hacer dinero a través del arte?
Creo que se necesita mucha dedicación para ganarse la vida patinando, ya que no hay un camino claro para hacerlo funcionar, pero, de nuevo, es similar a ser un artista. Supongo que ganarse la vida patinando es relativamente nuevo en comparación.
What do you think is harder, making money out of skating, or making money through art?
I think it takes a lot of dedication to make a living through skating as there’s no clear cut path to making it work but then again, it’s similar with being an artist. I guess making a living out of skating is just relatively new in comparison.
¿Qué inspira tu obra de arte?
Principalmente el explorar nuevos lugares, hacer fotos en analógico e ir a galerías.
What inspires your art work?
Mostly from exploring new places, shooting film photos and going to galleries.
¿Utilizas herramientas digitales o prefieres las formas tradicionales?
Utilizo ambos, pero definitivamente prefiero las técnicas tradicionales. En estos días uso principalmente gouache y acrílico para el trabajo personal y luego photoshop para modificar los diseños para encargos.
Do you use digital tools or you prefer the traditional ways?
I use both but I definitely prefer traditional techniques. These days I use mostly gouache and acrylic for personal work and then photoshop to modify the designs for commissions.
