Founded in 1994 by DLX, Metropolitan was the East Coast’s answer to Spitfire.
There were neither tours nor videos. Ari Marcopoulos was shooting black-and-white ads, showing more lifestyle than actual skating, giving the brand a sophisticated look and feel.
In 2017, Keith Hufnagel brought back Metropolitan with his friend Hanni El Khatib. 20 years later the raw east-coast vibe proves to be as timeless as ever, and results into a product thatreflects this aesthetic from every angle.
